The Rocking Retro 1950's Hairstyles
Both literally and figuratively speaking, the bouffant hairstyle was a big introduction in the 1950's. Often seen on the First Lady Jackie Kennedy, it was popular through 1964 when it slowly began to phase out. 1950's hairstyles were all about the curls and chiffon head scarves. It was a rock and roll inspired decade that explored various hairstyles from basic to beautiful. In the late 1950's, ladies changed dramatically from swept back ponytails and simple pin up curls to beehives and the French pleat.
